These big sandwiches are known by many names. Some of those names include: Heroes, Hoagie, Grinder, Submarine, Rocket, Torpedo, Po' Boy, Dagwood, Italian sandwiches and Cubans. The bread is approximately a feet long and 3 inches wide. They can be filled with various meats or cold cuts, add the condiments and trimmings and they are a whole meal. Here at Heritage we love a top round roast sliced thin, piled high on a hoagie roll and served with a side of au jus! However we do not make the sandwiches here . We do slice the top round needed, very thin but not shaved, for that great flavor and tenderness to make a great hoagie. Please consider this meat for you next Sandwich. |
