Round Steak
| Round Steaks are from the beef hide quarters. The fat cover is minimum, so it can be a bit dry. High in protein, round steak offers a richer flavor and good value. Rounds are ideal for a Swiss steak. Just have us run it thru the cube machine (once only), this will soften the round (or use a cube steak). Place meat in a sauce pan, adding a can of tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and black olives with your favorite spices on low temperature until the meat pulls apart easily. Perfect for an informal meat on cool days with a hearty salads. |
